5LB Athena bidirectional flow closed loop extractor

The 5LB Athena is a bi-directional closed loop extractor.

The bi-directional 8.5 lb has the same function as the standalone bi-flow but with an easy rack mount. When using bottom flooding on the first wash, to ensure that all material has seen the solvent, preventing it from passing through the material. It is necessary to complete the run with the top inlet stream to ensure that all residue has been flushed out of the material. The oily solvent is collected at the collection base under the material column. After collection, the solvent is distilled off and recovered, leaving oils in the base for collection. It is a passive unit that uses the pressure drops created by temperature manipulation to move the solvent.

The block includes:

• Collection base:12 *12 Welded bottom base. Team 12 cover for biflow.
• (2) Stacked 4*24 material columns with reducer and top cover.
• 4 sets of filter plates.
• 2 Solvent inlet manifold.
• 2 ball valves.
• 50 LP tank.
• 1/4" 48" PTFE braided high pressure hose.
• 1/4" 72" PTFE braided high pressure hose.
• 3/8" 72" PTFE braided high pressure hose.
• 12 clamps, (4) 4 clamps and (5) 2" clamps with gaskets.
• (2) 4" gaskets with filter. Optional for each type of gaskets.

Additional updates:

IF THE HIGH PRESSURE CLAMP UPDATE IS CHOSEN, the high pressure option with other applicable upgrades must also be selected to obtain a system fully equipped with high pressure clamps. Upgrades come standard with single rod clamps.

• System valves: Upgrades our standard valves to high quality SSP Instrumental valves or fully encapsulated Swagelok mini ball valves made in the USA.
• Base: Choose from our various collection bases. Standard base - welded bottom 12*12. Spray disc replaces 12*12 welded spools with 12" spray and 12" open coils. The base in the shell has a base 12 * 12 in fully coated. Disc upgrade with jackets in jacket has spray with jacketed 12*12 open coil
• recovery tank: This upgrade replaces the stock #50 LP reservoir: Dual Recovery adds a 2*3" reel with (2) valves on the sides, extra hose and an extra recovery reservoir. The Dual Return Manifold locks under one of the poly scopes on the collector and allows the user to recover up to two low pressure tanks, greatly reducing recovery time. Stainless steel #50 LP or jacketed stainless steel tank #50 with internal condensing coils.
• Dewaxing column: This update replaces the standard 4*24 reels with their sleeved spool. The sleeve is packed with dry ice to freeze the material, preventing the extraction of wax and lipids.

Inline sight glass: Adds 2" Inline Pipe Sight Glass. This is used to see the fall of the solvent from the material column into the collection base.
